We had a good day last Sunday. In the Morning we had a message from Dr. David Canedy. It was an excellent message and a real challenge to all of us about giving to missions. The snow storm really cut into our attendance at Sunday Schoo.l Evangelist Tom Williams came to Sunday School and the Morning Service. On the spur of the moment I decided to ask him to speak to a combined Sunday School class of both Adult Classes. His message was excellent, as you can learn from any one who was in attendance. He really did tickle Casey Robertson’s funny bone. People in that pew said Casey laughed so hard he shook the entire pew. I could hear him laughing from the front pew where I was sitting. Brother Williams drove the point home very clearly: We need to have our hearts right with God. Amen!
Sunday night was a blessing as I preached on the Ninth Chapter of Revelation. Praise the Lord, those who know the Lord will not have to go through the two judgments given in Revelation 9. We followed the Sunday Evening service with observance of the Lord’s Supper. What a blessing to seriously meditate on what Jesus Christ accomplished for us on the Cross of Calvary.
I trust you are praying for Pastor Josh Musgrave who is in Zambia ministering the Word of God and who will be visiting the George Mutale family this week. God is blessing his ministry there.
Plan to be present with us next Sunday. We need to see all of you in the Sunday School and the services. I will be speaking in the Morning Service from Revelation 10. I encourage you to come and fill our auditorium again this sunday. We do have a children’s church in the morning and we always have a well staffed nursery.
Don’t forget our Valentine’s Fellowship dinner is at the Sienna Restaurant , on Perry Street across from the Fire Station, on Saturday, February 20, at 6:00 P.M.
And also remember that Pastor Josh will be speaking about his trip to Zambia in both services on Sunday, February 21. In the Evening Service that day he will show pictures of Zambia and of his ministry there.
Continue to pray for David Head as he is visiting doctor after doctor (at least two doctors today as I write this) to help them decide the type of treatment he needs to have feeling restored to is legs and feet.
May the Lord bless each of you.
Yours and His,
Pastor Nelson
