Pastors and Deacons
Jesus has called pastors and deacons to be the leadership for the church today. The ministry of the pastor is threefold. 1. To mature the members of the church, the disciples of Christ. 2. To train the members of the church to do the work of the ministry. 3. To build up the body of Christ. Deacons are first mentioned in Acts 6. It is their job to aid the pastors in the ministry so that pastors can give themselves continually to prayer and the ministry of the Word. God gives specific qualifications for both pastors and deacons in 1 Timothy 3.
Pastor Josh completed a degree in Bible from Maranatha Baptist Bible College in 2004. Shortly after graduation he married Priscilla and began graduate school. After a year of grad work he accepted the call of his home church, Highlands Baptist Church, to become their Youth Pastor.
After 4 and a half years of service at Highlands, Josh and Priscilla moved to Castle Rock and became Assistant Pastor at Harvest Baptist Church in January of 2009. On March 28, 2010 Pastor Josh became the Pastor of Harvest Baptist Church. His burden is to see the Lord grow Harvest Baptist Church through soulwinning and discipleship.
He is currently pursuing his counseling certification through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors and is continuing his education with a Masters of Arts in Biblical Counseling through The Masters University.
