Last Sunday was a blessed day at Harvest Baptist Church. It was Ordination day for the ordination of Pastor Josh Musgrave. Pastor Rob Campbell, Sellersville, PA, came all the way to Colorado to deliver the Ordination Sermon for the Service on Sunday night. He also preached for us on Sunday morning. The messages were outstanding, bringing real blessing to all who heard him. We rejoiced in the blessings of this last Sunday.

Congratulations to Pastor Josh Musgrave on his ordination last Sunday. He met with the Ordination Council, on Friday to be examined as to his faith and spiritual experience. The Council voted unanimously to recommend that Harvest Baptist Church proceed with the ordination.

Next Sunday will be our first worship service in October, 2009. We look forward to seeing you all in attendance. Sunday night we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper, a time when we reflect on what the Lord accomplished in His death at Calvary . Oh, may we ever be faithful to realize the great sacrifice He paid by going to the cross and suffering in our place. I encourage you to be faithful to the Services at Harvest Baptist Church.

Dates to remember:
Saturday, October 10—10:00 A.M.—Ladies’ Fellowship meeting at the Musgrave’s home.
Thursday, October 15—Day of Fasting and Prayer for our Church Ministry
Friday, November 6—Men’s Fellowship

Continue to pray for Jan Waters and Buda Courter (Shirley Ater’s Mother)

May the Lord bless each of you to be able to walk in close fellowship with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Yours and His,

Pastor

We had a great day last Sunday. In the Morning Service, Dr. John Vaughn, President of the Fundamental Baptist Fellowship spoke. I was an excellent message. I heard many comments from those in attendance about how that message blessed their lives. Also in the morning we were favored with a wonderful special number by Sandy Childers. A special blessing in the morning service was the fact that Jan Waters was able to be with us. It was great to see her.

Then in the Evening Service we received more blessing. Our speaker was Missionary Josep Segurado, Missionary to Spain under Baptist World Mission. He was accompanied by his wife, Sarah, and their three sons. Both Josep and Sarah are from Spain. They received their Bible training from Baptist College of Ministry in Menomonee Falls, WI. They are well trained, are fluent in the language, and will certainly be used of the Lord in establishing churches in Spain. It was a privilege and honor to have these good missionaries with us.

This is a great week at Harvest Baptist Church. On Friday afternoon, we are having the Ordination Council which will consider Pastor Josh Musgrave for Ordination to the Gospel Ministry. The Council, composed of pastors from the Denver area, will hear Brother Musgrave’s statement of doctrine along with a statement of his conversion, Christian life, and call to the ministry. This Council Meeting will begin at 2:00 P.M. If the Council votes favorably to recommend that Harvest Baptist Church ordain Brother Josh, we will have the Ordination Service in the 6:00 P.M. Service, next Sunday at Highlands, Baptist Church, 1500 E. Phillips Ave., Centennial, CO . We encourage all of our people to attend this momentous event next Sunday night.

Another Announcement: Sunday School Teachers’ Meeting during the Mid-Week Service on Thursday.

We need to pray for these:
Jan Waters
Buda Courter, Shirley Ater’s mother—Has had a serious infection in her leg.

We will look forward to seeing you at the Thursday Mid-Week Service, at the Ordination Council on Friday, if possible, and in the Services next Sunday.
