Church Business Meeting – Constitution and Bylaws

Constitution Web

We will be having a church business meeting this coming Sunday, January 26th following the morning worship service. To make it easier for everyone to attend we are having an afternoon fellowship together. We have 4 matters of business that need to be taken care of: review last year’s finances, vote on a 2014 budget, elect deacons, and vote on the proposed Constitution and Bylaws. Please make your plans to be here for this important meeting. If you are not a member you are welcome to attend as well. It will be good for you to be able to see our plans for this year, as well as the reports for last year.

As all of you who received a copy of our church’s Constitution and Bylaws know already, I had a fight with the copier and lost. I have attached a link to the proposed Constitution and Bylaws that we will be voting on this coming Sunday afternoon in our annual business meeting. If you are unable to read this please contact me and I will get a copy to you.

Workers Needed – New Carpet

workers-needed

Workers needed this Saturday

Don’t forget that we are getting new carpet this week. Last night we had a great crew of workers come out to help remove all of the furniture so that the carpet can be installed tomorrow. Saturday we are in need of workers to help us put everything back together for Sunday. We need more than just grunt work. Ladies are needed for some organization especially in the nursery area. It is going to be so nice to see the new carpet.

We will begin work at 8:00am Saturday the 16th. I think the work should take us 3-4 hours.

Remember 9-11 with us on September 15th

We invite you September 15th at 6:00pm to join us for a special event to remember September 11, 2001. We have a special guest speaker Steve Scheibner with us to share, In My Seat, a short documentary telling of his story. He went to bed September 10, 2001, with his bags packed and ready to go. He was scheduled to be the pilot on American Airlines Flight 11 the next day. When he woke in the morning, however, a rare last-minute substitution meant someone else would pilot that plane, the first plane that hit the World Trade Center on 9/11.

Steve knows first hand what it means to have someone die in his place, not once, but twice.

His powerful and moving testimony of God’s provision will stimulate you to examine your own life in light of eternity. Steve’s message entitled “Are You a Someday Saint or a Borrowed Time Believer?” will motivate you to a life of purpose and help you to recognize your need for the Savior.

We hope to see you for this exciting event. Below is a short preview from Steve Scheibner.
